I imagine that when friends see pictures of the evil one lounging casually on our bamboo sateen bed linens that they look at each other and go, where oh where did we go wrong?
Because according to our most of our friends, the exorcist kitty (as she's known in small surviving circles) may have it a little too good considering her many attempts at trying to take over the world, and being that most of of our friends are dog people...and that they see little kitties as little creatures that poop in a box. Now don't get me wrong, our friends all love the little evil mastermind and have accepted the fact that this little glamourise future world leader has taken over our minds and made minions of perfectly good weimaraner folks (not to worry, we will one day have another weime, still to soon...maybe in a year..or two). Heck, our friends even turn to putty went they come over and she works her evil charm on them. One friend has even started trying to figure out how to invent a new computer keypad so that it's easier for little the evil to type out her evil schemes on the computer (no really, I'm not joking). But in the end they low their heads, pat us on the backs and give us those "you poor brain-washed simply minded fools" kind looks, because...silly rabbit, 600 thread count is for dogs...

Happy OOna New Years Everyone!!

Here hoping that 2009 bring a wonderful new beginning for all our friends and love ones! Sorry, we've been out of it through the the holidays, it's been rather tough not having our little girl Bella. The grief still hits us in waves, but we are still kicking and simply taking each day as it comes. While we were locked up in the studio, OOna did create something that made us laugh and then glup in fear. The little evil mastermind has been busy, she created a calendar that only a future world conquerer can love.
I'll try and get some of it loaded, you might even be able to get one.
Also, she tried to take over the world a few more times so I'll try and relay these new stories in the coming weeks.

Sorry for the graininess, but this shot was taken a great personal risk to the photographer. Yes, that's right dear fellow humans, I with great personal risk to myself (I feel I should point this out again) have captured the ingenious evil mastermind and future world conqueror in the mist of building one of her incredible evil schemes. That or she like the taste of paper, but I'm pretty sure she was working on some great evil scheme of world domination especially since there were huge blueprint just to the right of the picture frame. I couldn't get them in the shot because I had to run screaming for my life. Okay, I know it wasn't pretty...or graceful...or dignified...but hey, I did get this shot...you try sneaking up on on 6 pounds of pure evil and see if you don't pee in your pants...uh, not that I did...honest...really...she 6 pounds, pure evil mastermind......I'm going to change my pants...

Well the OOna kitty evil mastermind is doing better, it seems the key to her anger issue is homeopathics, yeppers homeopathics are our frineds. First let me say thank you for everyone's incredible insight and input, it seems that OOna kitties is not the only angry little kitty out there. We were surprised to hear that so many kitties have anger issue we almost feel like there needs to be a support group or something. You know we could call it KRAP – Kitties That Rage Against their Peoples, then we could say, "Yeah, my cat is in KRAP too." You know, KRAP for cats...no really, I'm serious....hmmmmmm, all I hear are crickets....ok, back to the drawing board...

Anyway, OOna now has homeopathics, namely Rescue Remedy, pet version. If you're not familiar with this stuff, it really works wonders. It's alcohol free and tastes like honeysuckles nectar (you know I had to try it first). It comes in a bottle with a dropper, four drops in their water and all their anxiety seems to ease away. We also got a Feliway diffuser, which is a homeopathic pheromone diffuser (both of these are made for cats and dogs) If you go to their website you can find a $10 coupon for the cat version diffuser. I'm sure there is a dog version too. The diffuser has no odor that we can smell, but the OOna mao mao kitties sure seems to benefit. She seemed to relax almost instantly...or maybe she was just pleased with her latest evil mastermind plan to take over the world, she did just stop finished typing on the computer.

So, anyway, if your little fish dreaming furry one is having some anxiety issues or just seems to be a little bit on the knife-wheeling angry side, then pick up some homeopathics – highly recommend by evil masterminds everywhere!

The OOna kitties has been a little high strung the past couple of weeks (to say the least). It seems like she was having some anger issues and we could not figure out what was going on. For period of about a week and half she started growling and hissing at us all at the weirdest of times and then would suddenly become very affectionate and loving. She would just sort of flip out for no reason...we didn't do anything, she isn't hurt (we had her checked) and she's perfectly healthy...she just wants to be crazy I guess (Scott thinks it's because non of her plans to take over the world have worked).

Being dog people, we have come to reason that not only are cats rather strange little creatures, but that they (definitely talking about the OOna kitties here) are little space martains from the planet Meowtaineie (a little known planet in the Felinineweirdo Galaxy). Yes, it's true, sorry to break it to everyone, OOna kitties told us in one of her little angry grumbly sessions. And though we have discovered this, we were still wondering if any other kitty owners out there have experienced their little fish breath knucklehead getting mad at them for no apparent reason other than to just be well, uh...mad. Any suggestion as to how to make her happier (or is this just a kitty faze)...just FYI – she get tons of attention, lots of playing, incredible food(EVO)/treats, as much log-in time on the computer as she wants and can be superduper sweet at times. We are just a little stumped...sign, weimaraner are so much easier and smarter (opps, did I say that, I'm getting the OOna evil eye now...gulp).

I have issues…

Or so we are told (OOna on the other hand, thanks that everyone else has the “issues”). It appears that our little future evil mastermind has already gain a bit of a reputation at her new vets office. When we went in to pick up the little terror (no she’s sweet, really…believe me, it’s true…uh, and I also have some swamp land I want to sell you, too), when we told the girls at the front desk that we were here for OOna kitties, they looked at each other and started to giggle. It seems the little 6 pounder (yes, it turns out the that the evil mastermind is only 6 pounds, 13 oz., it appears our food scale at home that we weight her on is a little off) almost took out one of the assistants. Dr. Roshto was the brave one that reached in and pulled little Miss Chikenbreath out of her crate (the last vet office drew straws…no joke), but grabbing her is one thing, holding on is another – that’s when she almost took out one of the techs. Its like holding a little freaking tornado. They had to give her a sedative just to do the exam. The awesome thing is they trimmed her claws and gave her a bath (boy that had to be fun) and all her shots are 3 years (no vets for 3 years, that’s crazy, we’ve been practically living at the vet office the past 7 years). The really funny thing is the photo they took of her for her ID card (when you scan the card, you can see all her info instantly, too cool!). I’ll see if I can get a shot of it once the card is processed, it’s hilarious.

Well, OOna kitties is back home and instead of hide, she been rather loving…think she might be realizing that her minions aren’t so bad after all. She says, that she still plans on taking over the world…so vets beware….

Adventures in OOna...

If you've ever followed our little set of postings for even a little bit of time, then you are sure to pick up on the fact that we are a little nuts about the little furrballs that share our lives. (ok, when it came to Bella, some said we were beyond nuts and were...ummm...what were the words..oh yes - koo-koo crazy obsess, but hey she was Bella...how could we not be). So if you spend any future time here checking out the world according to OOna then you surely will start to know every little crazy thing we do for her health and well-being. Hopefully my writings won't bore you......

Sooooo, it's been a year since OOna the crazy psycho kitty (as she is know at the vet) has been to the vet, yes my how time flies. I will say this, even though we miss Bella more than life itself - not having to go to the vet (and the specialist, or the surgeon) every week, has been nice. It's kind of this guilty mix of emotions that we have – it's nice, but we would trade it in a heartbeat if we could have Bella back tomorrow...but I digress, this is about OOna the evil mastermind. It's shot time and any who don't remember the last time, let me put it this way – she went totally physico after her shots and tried to kill the vet and all the assistants. (no, i'm serious she did) So now, it's a year later and a new vet, yes we decided to go with a new vet for little Miss. Chickenbreath to see if her experience might turn out better. In fact, we already love her new vet and OOna hasn't even seen her yet...she's Dr. Corse (Bella's incredible surgeon) wife Dr. Roshto. We have become good friend with them through Bella and her loss and Yvette is as amazing as he is. The funny thing is they are a lot like us only they are both vets.

Anyway, so the evil one has to go in for a check-up and shots and Dr. Roshto wants to give the little Chocolate chip feet monster a positive experience in hopes that she might start to like going to the vet again. Yeah well the OOna kitties says, "Fat chance!", but hey her minions are willing to give it a shot, we're just hoping we won't lose a finger or something. The future evil leader does not like going to the vet and tends to get a little...uh..."feisty" (as Dr. Roshto puts it). Let's put it this way, the little catnip sniffer makes tigers look like pussycats when she mad...uh, did I mention she only weights 8 pounds...8 pounds of freaking holy terror, that is. What you have to understand is, well we are dog people raising a cat. I mean, we make sure she gets superior care and loving - she gets EVO, which is a grain-free ancestral diet with the highest protein content, gets all the natural treats and toys, plus lots of loving and playing...but in the end deep down we will always be dog (weimaraner) people. Hey, after 13 and half years with our incredible Bella, how could we not be...

But anyway, so we have OOna, how doesn't feel she should have to go and see her nemesis the vet. We were told to try and get her in the crate when she's at her sweetest, which is in the morning right after you take a shower. Soooooooo, we gave it a shot, Scott tried to wrap the little monster in a towel right after a shower ( she was being all sweet and loving, kisses and all) and well let me put it this way, the little tasmanian went nuts - all claws, paws, spit and pee. And yes Scott was "nekked", but luckily no inguries, OOna was just pissed at him for a couple of days. So the next thing we were told to try was leaving her crate out and start putting treats in it to see if she would start going in there to eat them. Well, after about a week of this, the little rat finally started going in her crate but she would grab a treat and bring it back out to eat it for the first week. No biggie, we just kept placing treats in there for a couple more weeks, she fially started eating them in there (haha, the minions just might be a little smarter).

Well the morning of the visit is finally upon us...we placed the treats in the trap (errr...crate), she goes in, we slam the door shut, jump in the car and race to the vet (we convinced if she in the there for too long she'll figure out how to open that door...shudder). We dropped her off and made a run for it. (pheww)

So later Dr. Roshto calls us with her update...OOna is super healthy and definitely "feisty", someone's lip got bitten but we're not sure whose, we just said "OOna?...OOna who?" Unfornately, Dr. Roshto and OOna both know where we live...so I guess we have to go pick her up...glup!
